Mitchell grew up in the Moncton region where he played baseball for the Riverview Athletics. Mitchell was a part of a team that impressively won 3 provincial championships and 2 Atlantic championships. He then signed to the St. Albert Prospects, a prep school in Alberta, when he was 15 years old. He spent two years with the St. Albert Prospects and graduated in 2014. Mitchell was also a part of “Team Maritimes” at the first-ever Tournament 12 National tournament, held at Rogers center, where the team successfully won first place. In addition, he signed in early 2014 to play baseball for two years at Western Texas College, where he was named to the Region 5 Allstar team. Mitchell signed with the University of Texas of the Permian Basin after his sophomore year and played his last two seasons as a Falcon. Mitchell is dedicated to helping youth follow their dreams and to help send them to the next level.
